A strong, flexible boot with plenty of grip and ankle support. Volcanoes and mountains are no problem.

Expeditor Boot

by Berghaus

The pros

I’ve had these boots for years. They’ve stood up to miles of boggy savannah, treks up volcanic rocks and debris as well as snow and ice. They just keep going and are still comfortable and have great ankle support so I’ve never had to replace them.

The cons

These boots are good, but I’ve found that with any boot down hill hiking can put lots of stress on my toes and they’ll take such a long time to dry if gotten wet. Sweaty feet in boots is a prime cause of blisters too, so I’ll only wear them in cold wet weather so they keep the wet out and the dry in.
