Whether you like an epic trek to a mountain summit or a winding walk through a secluded forest, my mission is to show you that the best way to discover the world is on foot.
Ever since I bought the Rode VideoMic Go I’ve never looked back. The sound is far superior to that of the built in microphone on my camera. Subjects can also be far away from the microphone and it picks up the sounds sharply and clearly. The shotgun mount also dampens any shakes, knocks or bumps on the camera body or tripod. The pop cover works perfectly and I love that it’s powered by the camera. No batteries required.
For taking on long hikes, I don’t think this mic is very practical. It’s still quite big and the mount could be quite delicate. I wouldn’t want to cram this into my pack too hard and risk snapping it. Still amazing though.
